Welcome to Item Support
Item support on GNU STOCK provides buyers with assistance from the authors of purchased items for a period of 3 months, with options to extend support. This service ensures that authors are available to help you resolve potential issues and make the most of your purchased item.
What’s Included:
3-Month Support Period: Each supported item includes a 3-month support window from the date of purchase. During this period, the author is expected to assist with any technical questions, bugs, or defects related to the item, including those involving third-party plugins or assets. Authors may choose to offer extended support beyond the initial period, which can be purchased for an additional fee.
Item Updates: Authors are responsible for releasing updates to ensure that the item continues to function as described and to address major security concerns. These updates ensure compatibility with third-party software (like plugins or CMS platforms) and may include bug fixes or new features.
Author Availability: During the support period, authors are expected to provide technical assistance on:
Assistance with Bugs: If any bugs or defects are found in the item or included third-party components, you can report them to the author, who is expected to provide help. This might involve issuing bug fixes directly to you or releasing them as part of general item updates.
What’s Not Included:
Customization: Support does not cover item customization or alterations beyond the item’s original features and design. Buyers seeking customisation services can enquire whether authors offer this privately for an additional fee.
Installation: Support does not include help with item installation, server environment issues, or your hosting provider’s setup. You are expected to have the technical knowledge needed to install the item yourself. If installation help is needed, you can inquire if authors offer private paid services.
Hosting or Server Issues: Problems related to web hosting, server environments, or software installations on your machine fall outside the scope of item support. Authors are not responsible for providing help with these issues.
Third-Party Asset Support: While authors are expected to assist with third-party assets bundled with the item, the creators of these third-party plugins or tools are not required to provide direct support to you as a buyer.
Documentation and Fair Use
Before contacting an author for support, it's advised to consult the documentation included with the item. This documentation often contains answers to common queries and technical questions. GNU STOCK also provides FAQs and previous buyer comments that can assist you in resolving issues without needing to contact the author directly.
Authors have varying response times depending on their workload and the nature of your request. It's important to respect the fair-use policy, ensuring that support requests are reasonable in scope and frequency.
Choosing a Supported Item
Selecting a supported item from GNU STOCK ensures that you will have access to the author for help with technical questions, bug fixes, and ongoing updates. Support allows authors to maintain their items, release necessary updates, and ensure security and compatibility over time.
